A friend who is a Retired, Disabled Veteran encouraged me to attend the Middleboro Memorial Day Parade.
On a day memorializing those lost fighting for Freedom, what could be more appropriate?
The disdainful looks were curious, to say the least.
Since an ancestor has fought in every war since the American Revolution [and a few prior to that], too many on the pretext of defending our Constitution and our Freedoms that used to include Freedom of Speech [among other we seem to have forgotten], far too many require an education in history or at the very least a re-read of our Founding Documents.
Once again, thanks for all who shared bad experiences. How pathetic that we have too little recourse?
Once again, it was impressive how many spoke highly of Copeland Toyota.
Sorry no one told me before I went to Route 44 Toyota!
As consumers, a car is the 2nd most expensive item purchased and we have a right to expect integrity and accountability.
Beyond purchasing a LEMON from Route 44 Toyota, accessing credit reports in violation of FCRA [Fair Credit Reporting Act] is beyond reprehensible.
Even more so, when it was done ~ 6 months after the purchase.
Being too arrogant to acknowledge their legal violation is insulting. There was simply no justification for trashing my legal rights!
Route 44 Toyota could have simply removed the credit inquiries, yet instead bullied, threatening a SLAPP suit [Stategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation].
Is this a business you want to patronize?

You'd think no one ever saw a LEMON!
Another great day with folks sharing their experiences! Thank you!
One of the most striking things people have shared is the willingness of Copeland Toyota to go above and beyond to help their customers, even to correct the problems Route 44 Toyota ignored.
They're here:

Not a single person has offered anything negative about Copeland!

Hertz, Raynham: Dilly, Dally, Delay & Billem Part 2
The Bullies at Hertz, Raynham were eventually included in the lawsuit.
The total amount of the unauthorized 'rental fee' was ~ $1400. Keep that in mind because Morrison & Mahoney has charged their client far more than that amount with the court stuff they've done.
The pile of paper cost more than the 'rental fee.'
The first attorney from Morrison & Mahoney was not admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and fully unfamiliar with the process, committing a bunch of blunders. No supervision!
The current 'Wet-Behind-The-Ears-Kid' has committed his own blunders without supervision, including presenting an 'affidavit' of sorts to the court that was inappropriate.
Although the 'Wet-Behind-The-Ears-Kid' is endearing and cute in his own way, he keeps excusing that Hertz, Raynham 'super-imposed' my signature on a computerized rental agreement - they forged my signature.
The most recent blunder is the trees killed to file a response to a 'counter claim' when none was required.
MORE TREES KILLED!
This nonsensical response was filed with the Court, with my attorney, with the Route 44 Toyota Attorney, with the Toyota U.S.A. attorney. One would expect that each of those attorneys also forwarded this unnecessary 'counter claim' to their clients.
When Big Corporations tell you about the HIGH PRICE of litigation, it's their fault, their failures and their incompetence.

Hertz, Raynham: Dilly, Dally, Delay & Billem
No Day Goes By.....
without astonishing surprises!
Instead of Dilly, Dally, Delay & Stall law firms, they have been re-named
Dilly, Dally, Delay & Billem
Morrison & Mahoney's Wet-Behind-The Ears Kid [at my age, they all look like they're 12], Jordan O'Donnell, just admitted to the Bar last year, has killed more trees!
Must the tape be rewound to catch this?
Route 44 Toyota called Hertz, made arrangements for a RENTAL to replace my BRAND NEW TOYOTA WITH NO BRAKES that I refused to drive.
When Hertz, Raynham picked me up and brought us to their office, there was a younger man with his elderly father in their office arguing about extra charges.
Another Hertz, Raynham employee was arguing with a woman on the telephone about extra charges.
Surely, you've rented a car.
You walk around the car, note any damage, scratches, dents, sign a PIECE OF PAPER, and you're off!
In the past, we've only used Enterprise and they're pleasant, professional and we have NEVER EVER heard anyone arguing.
In the hostile environment that is Hertz, Raynham, I signed 2 PIECES OF PAPER, was not given a copy of either, led to believe Route 44 Toyota was paying for the loaner, and waited an inordinate amount of time without explanation.
The contract portion indicated a Decline of Additional Insurance Coverage, as I recall.
When Route 44 Toyota was served with the lawsuit, they notified Hertz, Raynham.
On that day, Hertz, Raynham began putting a HOLD on my credit card without notifying me.
A week later, the 'Manager' of the Hertz, Raynham Office left a bullying message on my answering machine threatening to call the Police and report the car stolen if I didn't immediately return it.
HUH?
When I attempted to have an adult conversation with the BULLY at the Hertz, Raynham office, predictably he was absent.
When I returned the vehicle and keys, the BULLY was screaming and yelling at me!
To be continued.

Life Was Simple....Until Route 44 Toyota!
In the irrational process of resolving MY LEMON Toyota, it is necessary to 'depose' folks.
On my list of folks to be deposed in Denise Bruno, listed with the Secretary of State as being the President of DMR Corp. which is Route 44 Toyota at that time.
Denise's husband, Tim Bruno was listed as being General Managerm now listed as President.
Dilly Dally Dan, more respectfully known as Attorney Dan Viera, is protesting.
Who is responsible for the illegal business practice of assessing CREDIT REPORTS without a legitimate reason?
This was done by Route 44 Toyota 3 TIMES!
So we schlep back to court for Attorney Viera to whine.
Last time in court, Attorney Viera arrived 20 minutes late and out of breath.
Will he arrive on time this time?

Tardiness seems to be the norm with the Dilly, Dally, Delay & Stall Law Firms.
Anyone following this soap opera recalls that Attorney Nichole Whatever [from the Albany Law Firm of Attorney Keith Rose] arrived half an hour late from Albany and was forced to chase the other attorneys across the parking lot to justify her billable hours.
This is why Big Corporations cry about the expense of litigation!
All very confusing instead of doing what's 'right.'
