SUV crashes through The Butcher Shop's front door

CAMDENTON, Mo. — An SUV crashed into The Butcher Shop Friday morning, but both the driver and an employee escaped serious injuries.
 
According to the Camdenton Police Department, the incident occurred around 10:30 a.m., as a 2006 Toyota Highlander crashed through the front of the business. An investigation revealed the driver—69-year-old Katherine Rudloff—had pulled into the parking lot meaning to park the vehicle, but had lost control.

A 20-year-old Camdenton woman who works at The Butcher Shop was struck by the vehicle as it barreled into the shop, and was also hit by falling debris, according to the report, but she refused treatment at the scene.
 
The incident caused “heavy damage” to the structure and interior of the building, according to the police report. An investigation will continue into the matter.
